Residential Villa Design
Spring 2024
This project focused on designing a villa for a Ugandan family, shaped by their cultural traditions, lifestyle, and daily needs. The home was designed to support family life, celebrate food and nature, and create a safe and active environment for all generations.
This project challenged me to design a villa tailored to the unique lifestyle, cultural traditions, and daily needs of a five-member Ugandan family. The home serves not just as a place to live, but as a tool for nurturing memory, celebrating food, and embracing nature.
The design features a central staircase with rock climbing walls, an outdoor cooking area connected to a herb garden, and a rooftop space for birdwatching and crop growing. A memory care zone is integrated to support the grandmother’s needs.
